At the moment, the website is designed to serve as a sustainable tourism clearinghouse for travellers interested in visiting Peru in a meaningful manner. All of the trips and organizations promoted on the website embody the spirit of Adventure Service Tourism and have passed a rigorous selection process.

The Featured Summer 08' Trips:

  • 'Rumbo al Dorado' Volunteer Jungle Expedition Dates: July 1-15, July 17-31, Aug 2-16, Aug 18-31. Total Cost: $950 (includes all food, lodging, land and boat transport <once in Iquitos>, English speaking guide and required minimum donation of $250 to ProNaturaleza).
  • Adventure Conservation Immersion (month-long, intermediate Spanish required) Dates: July-December. Total Cost: $1850 (includes all food, lodging, air, land and boat transfers <once in Lima> , and minimum donation of $500 to ProNaturaleza).

Who came up with Adventure Service Tourism?

David Aabo developed the concept as part the requirements for his Master's Degree from the School for International Training Graduate Institute. Many thanks to all of the people who helped and continue to help in the evolution.
